Kris Knochelmann is running to unseat former democrat now republican Steve Arlinghaus from the Kenton Judge Executive's seat. Arlinghaus has been wrapped up in a suspicious controversy involving the Kenton County Airport Board which has many calling his trustworthiness into question.
Knochelmann has now received the endorsement of the three former Kenton County Judge Executives in addition to the endorsements of Former US Senator and Baseball Hall of Famer Jim Bunning and that of former Congressman Geoff Davis.
Arlinghaus struggled in his first run with suggestions by those that opposed him that he had lied in court documents regarding his employability in order to escape court ordered marital obligations. He was also pinned by then Judge Executive Ralph Drees as a "big assed liar".
Arlinghaus is a former democrat who was ousted from his seat on the fiscal court by now state representative Adam Koenig.
The combination of controversy over his airport board entanglements coupled with his alleged reputation for being an "untruthful sort" of man has now been punctuated by these endorsements.
Looks like Knochelmann may very well be positioned to send Arlinghaus packing again.
