The nation is red lining. For those of you who drive cars with tachometers or who plan to watch NASCAR this weekend you know what I mean. Things are getting to the point where our engine is about to explode. Social pressure, economic pressure, distrust, fear, conspiracy theories, spying, all add to the problem.
Glenn Beck says it is being done intentionally. He says that those who want to USA to collapse are adding pressure from up top (our dictator in chief and his executive orders) and pressure from below (the clamoring masses of unemployed about to lose everything) and from the sides (the incessant bickering between R's and D's) and that eventually the plan is for the whole thing to explode.
Some say the purchase of ammunition and military like vehicles by homeland security and local police departments evidence the concern of law enforcement that some sort of civil war is about to break out.
Add to that the continued increase in gun purchases around the country and you have a fairly decent body of evidence from which to conclude that we are all getting wound way too tight.
Now this.
Christopher Roupe, 17, was a ROTC student at at Woodland High School in Georgia who dreamed of serving his country in the Marines. That dream came to an end when he answered a knock on the door of his trailer home. He found himself face-to-face with Euharlee police officers who promptly shot him to death. An officer said that she saw a weapon in his hand. It turned out to be a Wii controller. [Turley]
Add to that the story of a few days ago of an 80 year old man being gunned down in his own bed. And add to both of these recent horrors the number of similar tragedies going on all around the nation.
Don't think for one minute that you won't be a victim of some person, a civilian, a police officer, or even a federal agent wound up to the snapping point about to "red line" on you.
We need to calm down. And quite frankly, we need to say "no" to every single thing that this current administration wants to do. We need to stand behind the folks who refuse to let this administration and his democratic cronies around the country get by with adding any more pressure. We need to patiently wait for his term to end, and then ease our way back into normalcy.
In the meantime, remain situationally aware at all times. Arm yourself and stand your ground.
Suffer not yourselves to be betrayed with a kiss. Ask yourselves how this gracious reception of our petition comports with these war-like preparations which cover our waters and darken our land. Are fleets and armies necessary to a work of love and reconciliation? Have we shown ourselves so unwilling to be reconciled, that force must be called in to win back our love? Let us not deceive ourselves, sir. These are the implements of war and subjugation; the last arguments to which kings resort. I ask, gentlemen, sir, what means this martial array, if its purpose be not to force us to submission? Can gentlemen assign any other possible motive for it? ...The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. -Patrick Henry
