The Lexington Herald Leader is reporting that the head of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife is up for a contract approval that would give him $134,000 per year in pay plus another $53,000 in benefits with a cap of $218,000 subject to being raised.
Wildlife Commissioner Jon Gassett has been a good friend of sportsmen in Kentucky and his compensation has been approved by the Fish and Wildlife Commission chair and the Commonwealth's Tourism Secretary. It still needs approval from the Government Contract Review Committee. [Ky.com]
