Who set off the bombs in Boston? I don't know, but the longer it goes without somebody taking credit for the blasts, the more it looks like an act of domestic terrorism to me. Dennis Miller opined last night that even foreign terrorists don't take credit anymore in order to avoid a visit from an armed drone.
But I'm not convinced of that. Let's look at some facts. Let's start with all the potential for symbolism.
First, the bombs went off on "tax day". Second, it was also "Patriot's Day" in the city. Third, Boston was the place for the first "Tea Party", a protest over taxes. And not insignificantly, the device used was a "pressure cooker".
I believe that Barack Obama's policies have clearly put pressure on society. There is financial pressure without doubt. I also think that many people feel that he pushes the limits on executive power which adds tension to society. Despite what he might have stated to be his goals, I think in many places there is increased racial tension. I think that the proposals to ban certain types of firearms, regulate magazine size, push for universal background checks and the purchase of millions of rounds of ammunition by government agencies like the IRS and Department of Homeland Security at a time when ammunition for the public is in very short supply, adds pressure. Therefore I think the use of a pressure cooker was no accident, but rather was symbolic.
I think the place of the first "tea party" made Boston a symbolic place for the bombing. I think the calls for revolution by some people makes Boston, the site of the Boston massacre symbolic. I think some people want there to be an open fight and blood in the streets and are looking for a way to ignite it. I think this makes the nature of the terrorist act symbolic.
Next, I believe that any number of law enforcement agencies have infiltrated fringe groups like para-military militias, white supremacists, Nazis, the KKK and other gatherings of folks who openly express racist remarks, anti-government remarks or who seem hell-bent on anarchy. I doubt any of these groups have been overlooked in today's Post 9-11 world where privacy and personal liberty have been ignored in the name of national security. To me this means that if it was an act of domestic terrorism odds are the government had advance warning. Now comes the crazy part.
Who did this? More importantly, who will get the blame? Since no one is claiming credit it is possible that the one who will get the blame may not be the one who actually set this act in motion. Might some weak minded person, crazy without being a terrorist, with a history that fits the narrative, have been recruited to set the bombs down, or off? Might that be the person who will be caught, blamed and around whom a case will be built? And if it is domestic terrorism, might that person's background have been chosen to create a dead-end to any investigation which could find the ones really behind the attacks?
Now let's go even crazier. Two men, both dressed in exactly the same way, have been identified in photographs at the scene of the bombings. One of them is wearing a hat, readily available to anyone, bearing a symbol on it. The symbol is a logo for a company which specializes in private military services, a sort of "black ops" or "mercenary" type business. The name of the company is "Craft International". Now let's go even crazier.
Craft International was founded by former Navy Seal sniper, Chris Kyle. Here is his picture.
Look at the logo on the man's hat in the first picture. Now look at this picture of Chris Kyle and the logo on his hat and the way he is dressed.
Here is what the web page for Craft International says about the logo on those hats.
Admittedly anybody can go to Craft International and buy one of those hats.
But let's go even crazier.
Chris Kyle and a companion were killed at a Texas shooting range in February of this year by a fellow veteran. Their murders remain unexplained.
Now let's get really crazy.University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach, who was near the finish line of the Boston Marathon when a series of explosions went off, said he thought it was odd there were bomb sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines.
"They kept making announcements to the participants do not worry, it's just a training exercise," Coach Ali Stevenson told Local 15.
Stevenson said he saw law enforcement spotters on the roofs at the start of the race. He's been in plenty of marathons in Chicago, D.C., Chicago, London and other major metropolitan areas but has never seen that level of security before.
"Evidently, I don't believe they were just having a training exercise," Stevenson said. "I think they must have had some sort of threat or suspicion called in."
CNN reports a state government official said there were no credible threats before the race. [local 15TV.com]
What kind of people are trained in the use of explosive devices? Okay, add to that the question, what kind of people trained in the use of explosive devices would know how to avoid detection? And why would there be a bomb squad sweeping the area just before the explosions that presumably detected no bombs, yet two bombs went off?
So, now with this information, what might you conclude? Nothing, and that should be your answer. But as the public and the police are together engaging in the search for the perpetrators in this matter, all possible pieces of a puzzle have to be considered, and either ruled in or out.
I'm just sharing with you some of the stuff that is out there. Keep looking. Millions of eyes of wide awake people should be focused on this act of terrorism. And even after they announce that they have a suspect, I say the investigation should continue.
