Let's say you know that a mentally deranged person in your community is in possession of a weapon and has vowed to start killing people due to the "oppression" he feels coming from you and your neighbors, who mostly leave him alone and laugh about him from time to time. What do you do?
Well, the deranged leader of North Korea has vowed to launch a pre-emptive strike on the US, has unilaterally declared his nation no longer bound by the Armistice signed in 1953 by China, the United States, North Korea and South Korea and just detonated an underground nuclear device for which UN sanctions are expected very shortly.
So how should we react? Wait until the whack job launches something, hope it fizzles over the Pacific, or smack him now?
The answer will likely depend upon just how much of a threat he is perceived to be. My guess is he will be watched closely but largely ignored, kinda like the threat of a knock out by Fred Sanford.
