Governor Beshear told CN2 Pure Politics that Ashely Judd would be a "serious" candidate to challenge Mitch McConnell. CN2 landed a mention on POLITICO for the story. Okay, guess what. Beshear is right. Would she be a good Senator? Would she help advance the conservative agenda favored by most Kentuckians?
Would she work hard to defend the Constitution, to preserve our right to keep and bear arms?
Of course the answer to these questions is a solid NO. But that's not why Beshear is right. He's right because the people of this country have turned into a bunch of boobs.
Politics is now about attention; It's about media coverage; It's about glitz, and glamor and smiles and performances in front of a camera. Politics has shifted so far away from serious debate of important issues and a close look at ability and dedication to getting things done that anything is possible.
Ashley Judd for Senate? Good Lord! Ask her about the right to bear arms and she might tell you that in her world you've spelled "bear" wrong.
Her idea is more like that of of "bare" arms, and a whole lot more. (You know that by showing video I run the risk that Assly Juggs will become a more attractive candidate to some of the biggest boobs out there right? God help us.)
