First I told you about this:
S 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010, may be the most dangerous bill in the history of the US. It is to our food what the bailout was to our economy, only we can live without money.
“If accepted [S 510] would preclude the public’s right to grow, own, trade, transport, share, feed and eat each and every food that nature makes. It will become the most offensive authority against the cultivation, trade and consumption of food and agricultural products of one’s choice. It will be unconstitutional and contrary to natural law or, if you like, the will of God.”~Dr. Shiv Chopra, Canada Health whistleblower
Not long after I warned you further:
For our grandparents bacteria growth on stored foods was a big problem, from botulism in canned foods, to meat hanging in the smokehouse. In our generation concern shifted to food additives, preservatives, sugars and fats. Now a bigger problem may be lurking deep inside the food itself. Genetic modification.
Then I warned you about this:
I think we need to keep a close eye on this issue of genetically modified food sources. Not only are there issues with the dangers of chemicals themselves, but also with the destruction of future food production from open pollination.
Earlier this year I became aware of another concern:
On January 17, 2011, Dr. Huber sent a letter to USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack alerting him to a serious problem facing U.S. agriculture -- a previously unknown pathogen. Dr. Huber's letter revealed that a top team of scientists had discovered a link between the new pathogen, the steady rise of plant diseases in genetically modified Roundup Ready corn and soybean crops, and the high rates of infertility and spontaneous abortions of animal livestock. Then just a few weeks ago I read this:
Monsanto Co. corn that is genetically engineered to kill insects may be losing effectiveness against rootworms in four states, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said.
An Iowa State University study said in July that some rootworms have evolved resistance to an insect-killing protein derived from Bacillus thuringiensis, or Bt, a natural insecticide engineered into Monsanto corn. Entomologists in Illinois and other Midwestern states are studying possible resistance where the insects devour roots in Monsanto’s Bt corn. [Business Week]
And then today, this:
A key chemical of one of the most horrifying elements of the Vietnam War -- Agent Orange -- may soon be unleashed on America's farmlands. Considered by world nations to be a "Weapon of Mass Destruction" (WMD), Agent Orange was dropped in the millions of gallons on civilian populations during the Vietnam War in order to destroy foliage and poison North Vietnamese soldiers. The former president of the Vietnamese Red Cross, Professor Nhan, described it as, "...a massive violation of human rights of the civilian population, and a weapon of mass destruction."
A key chemical in that weapon -- 2,4-D -- is just months away from being dropped on agricultural land across the United States. Dow AgroSciences, which along with DuPont and Monsanto is heavily invested in genetically engineered crops, has petitioned the U.S. government to deregulate a variety of GE corn that's resistant to 2,4-D, which comprises 50% of the recipe of Agent Orange.
NaturalNews broke this story yesterday and published the details:

What does it all mean? Well, some believe that we are staring down the barrel of a full blown food crisis, with international implications, and devastating consequences here at home.
“When we have the first serious crop failure, which will happen,” says farm commodity expert Don Coxe, “we will then have a full-blown food crisis” – one far worse than 2008.
“We’ve got complacency,” he sums up. “So for those reasons, I believe the next food crisis – when it comes – will be a bigger shock than $150 oil.” [Forbes]
You might connect the dots and draw any number of conclusions for yourself. But one conclusion has already been drawn by The Pentagon.
It was reported last December, that the Army was pursuing "Unified Quest 2011" in order to study the "implications of large scale economic breakdown", using the army to keep "domestic order among civil unrest" and to deal with "fragmented global power and drastically lower budgets".
So, you read it all and tell me what YOU think is going on. But before you do, let me add a bit more fuel to the fire.
