Have you read G. Edward Griffin's Book "The Creature From Jekyl Island"? If not you should. Yes, it is a big thick book, which I'm sure will intimidate many away from attempting it. But it is an important book that not only chronicles the steps which have already been taken to destroy America, but those yet to come.
I admit that I have a few pages left to read. But Griffin's explanation of why the left is pushing a "green" agenda hit me like a bucket of ice water. Sure, I figured they were looking to sap our economy for personal gain. Yes, I figured the leaders of the radical left were still feeling the effects of their LSD laden youth and so hugging trees was understandable considering all the voices they'd heard coming out of them back in the 60's, but what Griffin outlines is much more frightening than lampoon-able.
In fact, given the current events unfolding around the world, we could be very close to what Griffin calls "doomsday", that point in time when the events which have been carefully put in place by those pursuing an agenda completely off of our radar, have set up a "critical mass" moment when the demise of individual freedom starts the domino effect which will destroy the America many of us know and love.
I cannot do justice to Griffin's book in a blog post. But I can do something for you and for my country.
I encourage you to get a copy of the book and make it a point to set aside 10-30 minutes a day to read it to conclusion.
I think you will soon come to understand why so many on the left and the right have begun to openly confess that the TEA party is their enemy.
For every 100 points the S&P drops in October, about 18.4 billion dollars will change hands. If the S&P loses 1,000 points, 184 billion dollars will change hands

Thank you Mr. Carey. I read this book many years ago and it is truly important. Thanks for pushing this information.
