In an interview with WHAS Joe Arnold last week Rand Paul outlined his plans once he gets to Washington; He wants to get government out of the way so that the power and innovation of the American people can once again flourish. He told Joe Arnold, "let's get government out of the way."
Paul's answers to Joe's questions gives the people of Kentucky a very clear view of what's at stake in the upcoming election. With barely over a week to go the campaigns of Paul and Conway have broken down to two very different things.
Conway wants to make people dislike Rand Paul in the hope that gives him a better chance to become a Senator. Paul on the other hand wants to face the problems of our country, meet them head on and articulates clear ways in which he will deal with those problems once in Washington DC.
Paul says that one way to deal with career politicians who seem more interested in their own future than ours, is to pass term limits.
Paul says that the massive debt being created by the federal government is smothering the life out of our American economy, choking out our economic engine. He wants to reduce the size of government, reduce over regulation of small businesses and stop the reckless spending. Conway on the other hand has pretty clearly shown that he would likely follow Barack Obama down the path we are on.
Tonight's debate on KET will be the last of the campaign. The number of undecideds will diminish to zero over the next 7 days. The choices could not be clearer.
