One week from today we will know who will be the next United States Senator from Kentucky. It will be the winner of the Republican primary.
The winner would be doing the following things over the next several days.
First, he would run only positive ads, leaving any attacks on his opponent in the can, unopened. He would redirect his remaining resources to being a winner.
He would appear with his family, looking directly into the camera, with a natural smile, and thank all of the people he has met, all of the people who have stood with him and those who will stand with him on Tuesday for their hard work, their support and their courage.
He would begin to roll out his November message, reminding voters why Kentucky cannot afford to send another vote to Washington to support the Obama agenda.
He would remind people that this coming Tuesday, May 18th is election day. He would post an easy to remember phone number one the screen which people could call at HIS CAMPAIGN for precinct information, or with questions about voting.
He would encourage every viewer to put it on his/her calendar, right now, to vote on Tuesday and to make a point of it to remind family and friends to vote with a phone call.
He would speak to those people who perhaps haven't voted in a long time and tell them how vitally important it is this year, for every single voter to show up and make his/her voice heard.
He would tell voters that the because the whole nation will be watching Kentucky this year, only with a large turnout will our voice be heard loudly across the land.
Looking directly into the camera, he would ask people for their vote, and then humbly remind them that with Gods help we WILL fix the problems facing our Commonwealth and our nation "together".
That's what a winner would be doing right now.
I agree with you about the positive ads, only I haven't seen a single Republican running a positive ad yet(in AZ) - so who could possibly win?
