The Lexington Herald Leader made a big deal out of boxed food being brought to a late night session of the Senate at taxpayer expense. Senate President Robert Stivers said he will pay for it out of his pocket because the paper made a fuss, even though a lot of staff had to work into early morning hours on little pay.
Meanwhile, the pension mess in Frankfort is about to explode to the tune of $18 billion (with a B) in unfunded liabilities.
Barbecue sandwiches only become a problem when Republicans buy them. Billions in unfunded liabilities with rumors of corruption swirling around, all created under 40 years of Democratic leadership, not such a big deal.
