From the Washington Times:
Mike Bloomberg is spending $12 million on attack ads designed to force U.S. senators to vote for national gun control laws that will supposedly save lives. However, the New York mayor’s commercials running in 13 states over the next two weeks could cause injury or death by showcasing irresponsible handling of a firearm.
The ad shows a man in a plaid shirt and ball cap sitting on the tailgate of a pickup truck with children playing in the yard. Through the entire commercial the man has his finger on the trigger of the gun which is not pointed at the ground or in the air. The frist two of the NRA rules of safe firearm handling are as follows:
1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
Obviously this man is doing neither, yet the theme of Bloomberg's ad campaign is "Responsibity". Ironic isn't it?
