Okay, listen closely. Two states, Missouri and Minnesota, have bills pending in their legislatures which would require all citizens to surrender "assault weapons" and large capacity magazines. Those of you who thought that gun confiscation would never happen, think again. We live in dangerous times.
We here in Kentucky feel fairly safe that our gun rights will never be taken away, but I know first hand that people in other parts of the nation do not think like we do. There is a very large movement underway to disarm you from having certain weapons.
So where is your protection? At the ballot box. You might think that the courts would overturn such clearly unconstitutional legislation, but ask yourself, when is the last time you saw a republican or true conservative elected to the state's highest court? Go around to the courthouses in your state and look for conservatives in the judiciary. Oh there will be one or two, but the courts will be not help.
So if the legislature can't be trusted, the courts are packed with democrats and a gun confiscation move is underway, how can you stop it?
Get involved, get active, give money and vote trusted constitutionalists into office. And in the process run the numb skulls out.

Red State Missouri? It's proposed by misguided legislators and will never pass - those legislators are the flip side of the coin from LaPierre. And Minnesota -- borders Canada where the gun laws are particularly strict. Hard to say what they'll do - after all, Minnesota gave the nation Michele Bachmann.
