Shhh.....Don't tell anybody, but a bi-partisan effort is underway in Washington DC to pass some form of gun control. But don't worry, all they want to do is tighten restrictions so crazy people can't get guns. You know, like we would never want to let "terrorists" get guns right? I mean, we all agree with that, right?
Of course we all would have agreed to that statement at least until we learned that the Federal Government officially declared people with NRA stickers, or a Jesus fish on their car, or who bought flashlights as potential domestic terrorists.
But don't worry, according to reports, the goal of this bi-partisan effort is only to keep the "mentally ill" from getting guns, and giving doctors the freedom to report "crazy" patients to the government so they can't buy guns.
So for all of you with anti-Obama stickers on your car you might be on a terrorist list somewhere, and for those of you on Prozac, Xanax, anti-depressants or who express anger over the direction the country is heading or how many communists have infiltrated the White House, be careful. Your doctor could be the sentinel who sounds the alarm which brings the ATFE to your house.
And of course if you don't then admit that you are crazy and voluntarily turn over your guns, there might be a hearing in your future, where you private medical condition becomes the issue at trial, a headline in the paper and you are forced to hire a lawyer and experts to defend yourself all the while your medical history becomes public record.
And don't for a minute think that this is just one more step toward the effort to disarm America. How could it be? Why, it has bi-partisan support.
