I have to admit I was slow to coming around to Mitt Romney. But there is no reason to outline my reasons why this morning or anymore. What I learned about him during this convention, what I heard from him and when I consider the alternative it is no longer just Obama vs. Not Obama, but Unqualified vs. Amazing.
As a lawyer for over 32 years I have had the experience of coming into contact with a few unique individuals who have a real talent for stepping into desperate situations and with a masterful skill, turning defeated companies, failing cases or hopeless lives completely around, restoring productivity and setting businesses and peoples lives back on the track to success.
I have had the blessed experience of knowing and working with people of deep faith, but not the kind they wear on their sleeves, the kind they practice rather than preach.
I watched the testimonials last night by people who know Mitt Romney on a very personal level. I learned more about his life. I was informed that his talent, showcased when he took charge of a very troubled Olympic committee, is highly capable of taking troubled assets, bankrupt companies, stumbling lives and to turn them around, fix the problems and give them real success over their adversities.
For all these reasons Mitt Romney is exactly what this country needs, right now.
Obama's plans for America have made things worse. They are not working. He has no experience and now no record of success.
Mitt Romney has the experience of taking precisely the kind of troubled circumstances we now face and turning them around. He has a record of success, but not just success for himself, but for the people he has helped, the committees he has saved and the companies he has put onto the path of prosperity.
I can only hope that his man of deep faith, whose life is filled with examples of real charity, hard work, and amazing accomplishment will find enough people to hear his story and with their votes take our nation off of this collision course with depression, and put us on a new track toward a more prosperous future.
My check will be in the mail before noon. My vote cannot come too soon.
