Perhaps you haven't been following this but street violence in Chicago is out of control. Comparing the situation to the streets of Afghanistan or Iraq, officials put most of the blame on leaderless gangs of wild youth fighting among themselves with innocent citizens in the crossfire. But stay with me on this, I wonder if that is the whole story.
Chicago is in the grips of a deadly gang war. At least 275 people have been killed in the city so far this year and many more have been shot, many of them innocent bystanders to the gang violence. Among the latest victims were 12- and 13-year-old girls shot Tuesday night. They survived.
Sgt. Matt Little leads one of the teams in Chicago's Gang Enforcement Unit...."Almost all the violence we're seeing now is from the gangs," Little said.
"The gangs have lost their hierarchy, so to speak, and without a chain of command, there's really nobody keeping things in check," Little said. The leaders are mostly in prison -- or dead. Those left are young, reckless, and often terrible shots...."Instead of a bullet with somebody's name on it, we have a bullet that reads 'To whom it may concern,'" Little said. The result is a spate of shootings that have killed or wounded young children, even toddlers.

Let me add a few dots and then ask you to consider whether they are connected.
Rahm Emanuel left the Obama White House to become mayor of Chicago. The "gangs" are Chicago gangs.
The targets of their violence include innocent people, children and toddlers.
The civil unrest resembles the "tribal warfare" of war torn countries.
Now ask yourself what connection there might be to the Obama administration in all of this. He has made it very clear that he is working on gun control "under the radar".
He and Hillary are about to sign an International treaty through the UN which spells bad consequences for gun ownership in the USA.
The current controversy over the "Fast and Furious" scandal has raised concerns that this was one of the "processes" being used by the Obama administration to soften up the public for more gun control.
There are other reasons why street violence might be breaking out in Rahm Emanuael's city, but you will have to connect those dots yourself. Start here.
