Troy Sheldon of Alexandria Kentucky might like to think that he is flying below radar, but that's not possible in an era where people are looking feverishly for someone to step up and run for Congress in the fourth district who has what it takes to charge into Washington determined to fix what everybody knows is wrong.
Sheldon is employed by Forest Labs, a pharmaceutical company. He and his wife are the parents of one daughter who has just completed college. At 48 years of age, Sheldon is no stranger to tough environments.
According to several sources he is an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He has recently harvested a world record mountain goat and for any who are familiar with the rigors of that sport, mountain goat hunting is considered to be the most physically challenging one of all.
While it would perhaps be nice for Troy to remain somewhat obscure while he and his wife consider this calling in the privacy of their home and consult with friends at church, Sheldon's exploration of a potential run has already brought him into contact with enough people that his name is out there.
What people are saying is that he is smart, properly motivated, well spoken, makes a nice appearance and that he carries none of the "career politician" baggage of some other named candidates. He doesn't seem to be hampered by the social disconnect from the "regular" Northern Kentucky republican, like others and could be emerging at just the right time and with the right clean slate upon which to define himself as "one of us".
I will have more to come as I continue to keep you abreast of the developments in what is turning out to be the biggest race in the Commonwealth this year, the GOP primary for Congress, right here along ridges and riverbanks of Northern Kentucky.

For someone who is projected as well known.....I doubt this.
I have lived in Alexandria for 30 years and in Campbell County 78 years (total) and I have never heard of Troy Sheldon.
It has been put forth that Troy is a Tea Party member....he is not a member in Campbell County nor Kenton or Boone.
