If Jack Conway cannot produce a statement by Rand Paul calling for the "repeal" of the Civil Rights Act, or the "repeal" of the ADA, then he lied.
It is now obvious to some that the DNC likely cued Chris Matthews in advance of this series of questions. It is also likely that they put Jack Conway up on the show to fire the first lie of the campaign.
But that's nothing new to Rand Paul, he won a landslide primary victory against a campaign based upon similar lies.
The real shame is that now his former GOP opponent will likely take heat for having handed the liberals some of the ammunition that they will fire against Paul until November.
Everyone knew that the liberal media was going to go on attack against Rand Paul. He represents not only a threat in this one race, but he represents an opportunity for the democrats to put a stain on Mitch McConnell, the most powerful republican in the nation.
With the massive amount of international attention Paul received following his decisive victory Tuesday it is clear that he has been identified as the most high profile candidate of the TEA party movement in America. And in that context Paul's candidacy may even be viewed as a threat to the interests of some republican members of Washington's inner circle.
What all of this means is that tomorrow's Unity Rally in Frankfort will likely be a day like no other in Kentucky's political history. There is a VERY good chance that the rally on Capitol Boulevard will be broadcast and covered with the kind of attention usually reserved for presidential races.
All eyes are still on Kentucky, and on Rand Paul.
Whether by strategy or blind luck the fact remains, Rand Paul is getting all the attention and Jack Conway is making the same mistakes as Trey Grayson.
Underestimating the mystifying resiliance of the Paul campaign has proven to be politically perilous.

Matt, I don't know. Perhaps the KKK members should take this matter to the Federal Courts.

Democrats support forcing African American restaurant owners to serve hooded KKK members like slaves. Why should African Americans be able to say "I own this place and you are being hateful, i would like you to leave"
Why do Democrats refuse African Americans this right?

Marcus,
Not only did Conway engage in this lie, but now some mainstream media outlets are spreading a misquote/distortion.
In some news articles, they are suggesting that the following occurred on the Rachel Maddow interview:
=================
Maddow: “Do you think that a private business has the right to say, ‘We don't serve black people’?”
Paul: "YES. I'm not in favor of any discrimination of any form...”
============
Now, watch the Maddow clip and you will see that Rand DID NOT SAY YES. He said "Yeah...". Rand frequently says "right" or "yeah" as a sort of "uhhhh" expression. He did not say YES but rather used "yeah" as a conversation filler.
Start this clip at 8:05: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VGdP2mNPeo&feature=player_embedded
The Rachel Maddow show's transcript (link below) has the lie on it which other reporters probably used as a reference
