Jack Brammer at Bluegrass Politics says that Rand Paul's campaign manager David Adams has tipped him off to the fact that today the Paul campaign will send out a press release announcing the endorsement of former Presidential Candidate Steve Forbes.
Forbes still enjoys some support among republicans, particularly those who favor a fairer income tax system than the one we have. Forbes connection with the big money crowd in New England might bring Paul a few big checks to supplement the $35 contributions he gets online.
Forbes might also break the ice and allow other big name republicans some cover to endorse Paul. But most importantly of all, it give Paul another day of widespread news coverage, virtually for free.
The most important man Rand needs is still to come.
