If any of you have been wondering where I've been, why I've not been blogging or what was going on, well let me fill you in. Pick up a copy of this month's Field and Stream and read the cover story. That's what I've been doing.
The magazine features a fella named Marty Meierotto as "The Last Mountain Man". Marty is a wilderness trapper in Alaska, and a good friend of my buddy Al Dubord, a Canadian French trapper from the upper peninsula of Michigan who has been living in the bush and trapping in Alaska for 30 years.
I was with Al this past week doing the same things described in the "Field and Stream" article. In fact, Al was showing me some photos of his recent trip on on the trap line with Marty, just before I left Anchorage Alaska yesterday morning for the grueling air trip home.
We traveled about 150 miles out of Anchorage by truck to the Alaskan interior. Then we went another 45 miles by snow machine (snowmobile to lower 48 types) into the wilderness using a series of lakes and rivers as our highways. We hunkered down in a trap line cabin and traveled another 50 miles or so farther into the interior, up a major river checking traps, setting traps and enjoying life on the edge.
I'm home now, for a while, before setting out again on another adventure. It might take me a day or two to shake off the jet lag, catch up on the trivia (aka news) and begin my routine of analysis, commentary and radio broadcasts. But stay tuned, these little survival trips keep me edgy and sharpen my senses.
I'm back. Thanks for checking in. Keep it up.

does anyone know about these so called work from home jobs? Are they real, I mean can you really make money online?

Glad to see you are back safe! Now lets get to posting the Marcus Carey perspective on the win in MA and if this will impact the KY Senate race.
