Fist we had the fraud of "global warming" which then ran headlong into colder weather and morphed into "climate change". Thank God that fraud has been exposed.
Then Obama came up with the ruse that he was going to "create or save jobs". Nobody has really called him on that one yet, but suffice it to say you'd be hard pressed to find any credible economist to tell you how to calculate that into real numbers.
Now we have news of improved "job creation", despite the fact that we will have "increasing job losses".
Only in a nation where the people have been so dumbed down by a pathetic program of education funded by the federal government could human logic give way to rhetoric, and an administration like Obama's could get by with this. From Yahoo News:
The economy is getting closer to generating jobs for the first time in two years, but it probably won't be enough to stop the unemployment rate from rising.
Analysts expect the Labor Department will report Friday that employers cut a net total of 130,000 jobs in November, according to a survey by Thomson Reuters. That's an improvement from 190,000 the previous month.
The department is also expected to say the unemployment rate will remain 10.2 percent, the same as in October, a 26-year high.
Two economic reports Thursday gave some economists hope that employers will gear up hiring early next year and that the economy will start adding jobs in the first quarter. But the unemployment rate may still rise well into 2010.
This is so ignorant you have to laugh. The loss of jobs is slowing, and that is good news. But what does it really mean? Eventually when everybody is out of work the loss of jobs will slow to a stop. I mean, come on, you don't need a Harvard education to understand that one do you?
Well don't you also think it's a bit of gallows humor to say with a straight face that the economy will start "adding jobs...but the unemployment rate may still rise."? Yep, you can add water to a leaky bucket with an eye dropper but if the water level continues to go down there is a net result which all the cheer leading in the world cannot deny.
