It took a call from Joe Arnold directly to Trey Grayson's pollster to get a negativve reaction to the poll this week suggesting that Rand Paul's winning chances had surged. And not surprisingly, Grayson's pollster questioned the methodology of the group who had done the polling.
But PPP, the group that did the Paul/Grayson calculations, has been "remarkably accurate" in recent polls according to CBS news. And Grayson's pollster hasn't released any numbers of his own to counter what the indepenedent group reported.
Perhaps what will convince people more about the accuracy of the surge will be the kind of crowd Paul draws at republican headquarters in Frankfort next Wednesday when he holds a press conference there to announce his official status as a candidate. No word yet on what time that will be, but we will keep you posted.
