The University of Kentucky churns out thousands of graduates every year. Ask a few seniors about the Mayflower Compact, or the role the ten commandments played in framing our legal system and you will likely get a bunch of "I dunno" answers peppered with some PC "separation of church and state" responses.
Why? Well studies at UK are focused on many things in addition to teaching the founding principles of American culture, like the study which found that women who identify themselves as "spiritual" tend to have more unprotected sex with more sex partners than women ranking lower on the "spirituality scale".
But [the study] also found that young people who are highly religious — those who adhere strictly to a traditional faith such as Christianity, Judaism or Islam — are less likely to have sexual intercourse outside of marriage.Researchers say the findings are significant because they indicate that “spirituality, at least for women, could be considered a risk factor” when it comes to sex. Well isn't that special?
