***UPDATE*** 9:45 am: Apparently Grayson has now pulled the post down from his FaceBook page.
Again and again the Rand Paul campaign seems to find a way to tell Trey Grayson he is in for a fight and to remind voters just how young he is. This time David Adams finds the perfect funny face to put on Trey just in time for Halloween.
Trey Grayson posted a link on his FaceBook page to an odd ball article about a burglary where the bad guys painted their faces with magic markers instead of wearing masks.
Adams was quick to respond:
"I have received the attached screenshot of Trey Grayson's FaceBook page on which he posted a ridiculous story about two robbers employing "the worst disguise ever" by drawing fake masks on their faces with permanent marker.""A far worse disguise is the gaffe-prone Grayson posing as a ready-for-primetime federal candidate representing Kentucky. After the Bailout Ball, attacking fellow Republicans for moving to Kentucky to work and raise children, and sending a video stalker to a charity event, it's clear Trey Grayson is the one wearing a mask, pretending to be mature enough to run for the United States Senate in 2010.""The fast-growing campaign of Dr. Rand Paul based on balanced budgets, conservative values, and creating jobs by promoting capitalism rather than bailouts and stimulus bills stands as a stark contrast to Grayson's childish antics and Kentucky Republicans are gathering in support of Rand's strong, steady effort."
Adams has a point. There are very serious issues facing our Commonwealth and Nation right now and we need a mature engaged Senator to address those issues. It is a bit odd that a candidate for the high office of United States Senator would be playing on FaceBook like this while hard working Kentuckians are being asked to donate money to his campaign.
Just imagine if Jim Bunning had been up late at night playing like this on Facebook. What do you think the press would be be reporting in the morning?
Is this how Grayson plans on convincing voters that he is US Senate material?

Recently went to a Rand Paul event. I arrived late just as the event was wrapping up. I had never met him before this, He invited me to a local restaurant where me and a couple of others spent the next hour and fourty-five minutes talking about issues. He answered any question I had and seemed completely informed on at least the issues we discussed. He has my support.

Too bad you didn't interview yourself.

Hey Redman: First of all, thanks for commenting. Second, when was the last Trey Grayson got a positive post on this blog? Look, the Paul campaign sends out numerous press releases, and Grayson sends me none. Third, in terms of net news, Rand Paul is running about 10-1 in terms of stories about his campaign, his issues or his slams against Grayson. Seriously, Grayson's campaign has almost gone dark. I got an interview with Bunning, with Paul and I am in negotiations for an interview with Conway. Guess what? Nothing in response to my request to Grayson. So what am I supposed to report? So far it's all Paul. When Grayson gets up and running, I'm sure things will change.
By the way. In 2003, just for the record, I interviewed Ernie Fletcher, Crit Luallen and Jonathan Miller. They all won.

Shad you are correct. I have not thought enough about the people in this race. What they say and do between now and May will give me plenty to think about. I just happen to be open minded enough to let this thing play out rather than doggedly cementing my position this far in advance. I respect your friendship with Trey and your party line position. However, with so many important issues facing our nation right now, I hope you will likewise respect the fact that I have chosen to keep an open mind.

Adams is such a hypocrite. He "posts" childish attacks about Grayson on his Facebook page, and then tries to make an issue of harmless posts by Grayson on the same "social" website intended for sharing between friends & associates. If you don't know who you're going to support, you haven't thought enough about the people in this race. Grayson is by far the best, most experienced & mature candidate.

Marcus, I am a Rand Paul supporter and I agree with your take on this and other issues. On a related matter, I was wondering what you think as a County Chair about another County Chair creating and pushing an anti-candidate website during the primary? Just curious on your take.

So, Marcus has not made up his mind about who he is going to support in the Sen. GOP primary?
Really?
When was the last time Trey got a positive post on this blog?

I am a conservative Republican and committee member of NY GOP who would like to see restoration of conservatism and republican form of government. We need some sanity in Congress not status quo. If you are a Republican county chair and truly care about our party and country, you should support a candidate that best represents our conservative ideals and that's Rand Paul.

Rand HAS talked about the issues since he started. For the first time since Trey announces his exploratory committee he only recently put some issues on his website a few days ago.
Everybody's known where Rand stands on pretty much everything from the beginning.

Let me be clear. I am not opposed to anyone having fun, nor have I made a decision yet who I will support in the primary. But I have developed a keen interest in the political process and the methodology of campaigning over the years.
I think you will find that my comments are directed at the decisions being made by the candidates and their campaigns which either positively or negatively impact their public image.
Talking about issues is the job of the candidates. Commenting about the way they are conducting their campaigns is my job.

OK...I am still undecided in this race...I am a county chair...and I loved it when you videotaped the guy taping Rand at the breakfast. But then for you to make fun of his FB page...so what if Trey is having fun...so are you. Let's talk about issues...both candidates rather than playing tricks or looking for photos.

I saw that it was pulled down. Wow, he's really watching you guys carefully, eh?

I don't care what Trey does in his spare time. I would be scared of him if he just posted politically correct things on Facebook all the time. Facebook is a popular medium today, are you making fun of those that "play" on Facebook?
Though I have to agree that Grayson is not the man for this job - maybe he is the man for Lt. Governor though.
