***UPDATED*** Unconventional Solutions For Unprecedented Times: Paul On Track To Raise $1million For Quarter

Congress has spent us into near bankruptcy.  Our President surrounds himself with avowed communists. Capitalism is being denounced and socialism praised.  People are fearful, and motivated to take back control of our country.

No doubt these are unprecedented times, and in this climate Rand Paul has not gone begging at the alter of the party elites in order to raise funds for his campaign to become the next U.S. Senator from Kentucky.  No, he has employed unconventional methods to solve the one big problem facing all serious candidates for higher public office, raising the money necessary to compete.  And tonight it looks like it is paying off.

Rand Paul, the eye surgeon from Bowling Green Kentucky has a clear vision for the future and he is not about to let anyone dry up his money or attach strings to his fund raising.  At 7 pm he was just a few dollars short of raising $1 million for this quarter. 

Paul's money will certainly make him able to compete.  His skills at potentially out raising his opponents will negatively impact upon their future ability to raise more, but likely boost his ability to raise more.

With Daniel Mongiardo imploding, Jack Conway trying to win by default and Trey Grayson employing somewhat of a "Rose Garden" strategy by keeping out of sight as much as possible except in his own home county, Paul's unconventional approach may be the only campaign strategy which is in harmony with the mood of the Commonwealth and of the nation at this time.

The next set of financial reports will be interesting to say the least.  My predictions are that Paul will nearly, but not quite, make the $1 million mark, Conway will turn in another $450,000, Grayson will report about $500,00 and Mongiardo will come in at $300,000. 

Stay tuned, this one race is turning out to be very interesting, and it's only September 30th.

Shortly after posting this the Rand Paul campaign crossed the $1 million mark.  I was obviously low on their take, let's see if I'm low on the others.  Won't know for sure for about two weeks.

I'm curious why you think Rand won't make his Million? He has almost 2 hours left to go and he's at 1,114,408. Over $2,000 more then he needs for his $1 Million Quarter.
