Daniel Mongiardo has been heard saying "the only difference between Fletcher and Beshear is Beshear hasn’t had a blow-up yet. But it’s comin.”
What is "it" that the Lieutenant Governor knows is coming? What has happened in the Beshear administration which Mongiardo knows will result in a "blow-up"? If the only difference between Beshear and Fletcher is that so far Beshear hasn't been caught at something, shouldn't the Attorney General be investigating to find out what it is?
Isn't Mongiardo's comment a report of conduct within the Beshear administration from someone on the inside, the likes of which caused AG Stumbo to investigate and ultimately bring down so many people in the previous administration?
Is Conway pulling his punches because Beshear is a democrat?
Is Conway maybe not busy conducting an investigation into potential government wrongdoing because he is too busy running for office?
Might Conway be avoiding a look into potential government crimes for fear that it might look like he is using his office for political gain if he went after Mongiardo's boss? Or is he afraid he'd be taken to the woodshed for going after a fellow democrat?
Is Jack Conway the AG Greg Stumbo was or not?
Maybe he's not such a tough SOB afterall.
