RFID is probably not a set of letters with which you are familiar. But you should be.
A new technology called RFID uses a small chip, sometimes embedded into a credit card, luggage tag or just about anywhere else, to store personal information. These chips are powered by an RFID transmitter/receiver several feet away and will send a signal which could expose you to ID theft, track your movements and your purchases.
Much has been written about this device for about 6 years now, but they are being used much more frequently everyday.
After doing my show yesterday (Tech Talk For Old Dogs) today I received this link to an ad for RFID protection devices. IDENTIY STRONGHOLD
It is certainly worth keeping your eyes open, and of course, it's always a good idea to tune in to "TECH TALK FOR OLD DOGS" Sundays at 10 am.
