Who ordered, directed and/or approved the dismissal of John Forgy from his state position as general counsel to the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission? So far no one is saying, but his aunt, State Senator Alice Forgy Kerr thinks he lost his job as "retaliation" for her vote against race track casinos.
In a report by Jack Brammer at the Lexington Herald Leader he says Senator Kerr thinks that it stinks.
Some in Frankfort would do well to remember the wildfire controversy during the Fletcher administration regarding the firing of Mike Duncan, an inspector with the Transportation Cabinet's Office of Inspector General.
At one time, not so long ago, loud shrieks of "political discrimination" could be heard rising from the offices of democrats in Frankfort. So far the only shrieks in and around Frankfort are coming from bottle rockets being fired by kids.

The fact that Forgy-Kerr is trying to blame the Beshear administration for the firing of her nephew is lame. She's just trying to get her name in the news. Her nephew got his job b/c of who his dad was (Larry Forgy). Political jobs are "live by the sword, die by the sword". Love the Obama quote - you lost, get over it and move on.

It is obvious what this firing is whether u are for gambling or against it. Too bad, but not sure what one would expect from the guy that took KY Central apart..but it does show he is above the law...
Why should this bill come out of committee over any other? what makes this one different, and thus changes our rules of government?
I sort of like gambling..taking from the poor to get rich..

BTW, you should remember that 'live, die by' comment.
When Lisa Underwood has the guts to tell the truth, you will see what thugs are in place in the Executive Branch of the Commonwealth.

You are misguided in your criticism.
Sen. Kerr has never indicated anything except opposition to expanded gaming.
Gaming did not pass.
To paraphrase Obama, you lost. Get over it.
There are better ways to help our horse industry.

Live by the sword, die by the sword... The vote should have come out of "committee" instead of Bullies William and Kerr keeping it only in committee. Obviously they were concerned it would pass... And then to claim that they both are concerned about the "morale" values of it but have a competing bill... Bullies they both are!!!
