Heard from a friend in Alaska the other day about the growing anger of Anchorage area residents who were taxed to build hiking and bike trails around the city, which trails are now closed to humans because of repreated bear attacks.
Then I saw an interview on the Telly the other day where Governor Sarah Palin was talking with the motorcycle builders from Orange County Choppers. She was criticized for having a bear hide on her couch.
Now I don't know about you, but if the government has the power to tax people to build trails for human use, why can't they eliminate the bear threat? Hunt them, re-locate them whatever it takes, but take the people's money under threat of force and then put the interests of bears above humans? Outrageous.
