When Nicholas County Kentucky Sheriff Dick Garret ran his last campaign he asked the people to vote for "More Dick". Well, now some of the people of this small community know what that means.
A report in the Lexington Herald Leader tells the tale of how a family trying to move a mobile home along US 68 found themselves with the hauling contractor broke down and unable to clear the road. In comes Dick.
After trying to move the rig with the help of a heavy duty towing company, Dick ordered the house pushed off of the road, which of course, destroyed it. Now the family is homeless, has lost their investment and has been given a matter of days to come up with the money to clean up the mess Dick left behind.
According to the LHL, when asked if he'd have done anything different, Dick said "I'd have knocked it over sooner."
This is one story you have to read.
