The World's Longest Yard Sale officially begins today. Why might you ask would a blog like this talk about yard sales?
Well, first of all I live and work on US Hwy 127, the scenic route of the yardsale.
And second, several years ago I built a special site, on my farm, just for sellers to set up. I was concerned with all the people parking in the ditches and running across the road, so I built a place with off street parking, a level lot, provided a shady eating area, porta john, electric and invite people to come.

Oh, and the politics? We had nearly 15,000 visitors last year. The most common topic of conversation was the weather. The second most common, you got it, politics.
